American Airboat Corporation is seeking to hire an Stainless Steel Welder to join our team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Job Description:

  • Performs welding and cutting of metal parts, using oxyacetylene torch, and grinders.
  • Familiarize yourself with all the metal used in the fabrication of products.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more at a time.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, reach overhead and stoop while working in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment with shop lights on at all times.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates degree preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license with no moving violations in the past 45 days;
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check;
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle;
  • Must be able to use basic computer programs;
  • Must be able to read and write legibly in English;
  • Welding experience required;
  • Ability to use basic tools such as drills, saws, hammers, etc.;
  • Ability to work overtime as needed;
  • Ability to work alone as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time;
  • Ability bend, reach overhead and lift 50 lbs.;
  • Ability stand for 8 hours per day;
  • Ability walk for 8 hours per day;
  • Ability bend knees or stoop repeatedly during working hours;
  • Ability lift up to 50 lbs.;

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.49 – $27.31 per hour
